This building cannot accommodate a wheelchair, and we would rather tell you now than have you arrive and find out. It is a pair of Victorian townhouses: there are steps at the front door, no lift, and no bedroom that can be reached without stairs. The detail is below, in full. Getting around the building
No lift — stairs to all floors. There are no ground-floor bedrooms: every room is reached by stairs.
If stairs are difficult for you but not impossible, please talk to us before booking. We cannot change the building, but we can tell you exactly what is involved for a given room, and we can carry your bags.
Bathrooms
No bathroom is adapted. There is no walk-in or roll-in shower, no grab rails and no shower seat in any room.
Doorways
No bedroom doorway is wide enough for a wheelchair.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome. The hotel does not otherwise accept animals, but that rule does not apply to a registered assistance dog — you do not need to ask permission, though telling us in advance helps us prepare the room.
Fire alarms
Fire alarms are fitted throughout the building. We are confirming whether they also give a visual signal for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing — please ask us before you book.
What we can help with
- Reception is staffed around the clock, so there is always someone to ask for help, whatever time you arrive.
- Luggage storage is available, so you do not have to carry bags up before check-in or after check-out.
- Parking — on site, £45 per day, booked by phone.
- Check-in — from 15:00. Tell us your arrival time and we will have someone ready to meet you.
This website
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA on the booking site: it works with a keyboard alone, the text can be enlarged in your browser without breaking the layout, form fields are labelled, and colour is never the only way information is given.
